It is a 4 years 8 semesters course offered by Maharaja Ranjitsinh Gaekwad Institute of Design.

1. A Candidate must have passed / appeared in the Higher Secondary School Certificate (H.S.C.) Examination (12th Standard) in any Stream of Gujarat Secondary Education Board (GSEB) Gandhinagar, or Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or its equivalent examinations of any other Examining Body recognized equivalent thereto with minimum 50% aggregate marks (Relaxation will be given to Reserve Category candidates as per govt. rules) and NOT ABOVE 23 YEARS OF AGE at the time of admission. They must have English as one of the subjects in 12^th Std.
2. It is desirable to maintain and produce portfolio of work in support of the applicant’s interest in MRID, Fine Arts during the personal interview.
3. The final selection is subject to the candidate’s performance in aptitude test and personal interview. Candidates whose results of qualifying examinations are awaited may submit the form and appear for the Aptitude Test provisionally.  Their admissions, however can be confirmed only after they have passed the requisite qualifying examination and after submitting their original Certificates in office, before beginnings of the Classes in the Faculty.
