Department of Electrical Engineering:

The department was established in 1957 under the headship of Prof. S.K.Roy with an intake of 60. Later on the intake was increased to 90. Also part-time diploma course was started so that working people can also upgrade their qualification. In 1975, course of Diploma in Industrial Electronics was started for 7 years without Government Aid, to cater for the need of the industries. Further, 70 new admissions were given in Electrical Engineering to the 12th pas student.

Now, total intake is of 150 students. Also now course of Diploma in Information Technology was started in the year 2000 with an intake of 60. In the academic year 2006-2007 new courses of Diploma in Computer Engineering & Diploma in Electronics & Communication are started.

In the year under the co-ordination of Mr. B.P. Dave the Departent achieved MODROB grant of 11,00,000/- by AICTE, which was utilised in the development of Electronics Laboratory so that the students will get a knowledge of latest trend going on. With the instruments purchased the department can provide facility of calibration of industrial as well as laboratory instruments.

Servilink Ltd. denoted AC drives of around 28,000/- to modernize the laboratory.

Smt. Jayaben Thakkar (MP) has donated 1,00,000/- for purchasing computers for Information Technology branch.

Aim of our department is to provide facility to the students so that they will get admission for higher studies and get easy and highly paid employment and to aware them with the latest technology.
