Department of Russian:

Established in 1952, the Department is one of the Centres of Higher Education in Western Region of India, imparting training in Russian Philology at UG, PG, Doctoral and Part-Time levels.

The department is well organised and equipped with suitable interactive tools and extensively uses ICT for better results. The Digital Language laboratory, the DTD and other audio-video equipment are very useful and effective for target language training.

Teachers motivate the students to participate in extra-curricular activities to develop the students’ soft skills and polish their personality.

Research is a significant activity of the Department. Teachers in the Department of Russian take part in research related activities by participating and presenting in workshops, seminars organized at national or international levels.

VISION and MISSION: Working hand in gloves with a view to securing a better future for the stakeholders of the department and assisting and guiding them in the process of becoming worthy citizens.
