Students Facilitation Centre:
M S University (MSU) opened a new facility for thousands of students, their parents and aspirants seeking admission at the university.
A students' facilitation centre has been started at MSU head office, which will act as a single window for students to get simple forms related to exams and academics. It will also help aspirants through a video helpline.
This centre has counter of accounts, examines and academic sections apart from the one dedicated to publication and sales unit.
"All documents related to exam and academic sections such as forms for duplicate mark sheets, degree certificate forms, special certificates like rank certificates, attempt certificates, verification and attestation of mark sheets for foreign universities and employers, PhD registration certificates will be made available from this centre. At the same time, all the payments can also be made at this centre," officer on special duty (Former registrar) Amit Dholakia told TOI.
Gujarat education minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama inaugurated the centre in the presence of MSU chancellor Mrunalini Devi Puar, Vice-chancellor professor Yogesh Singh and syndicate members. Chudasama also made a video call from the centre. The video call office (VCO) based on the voice video over broadband technology will help aspirants to solve their queries face to face regarding admission procedure, forms, registration among others.
"The centre will have an inquiry and reception counter, which will provide details of services, admissions and other university related works. This counter will have both phone in and video calling facility," said Dholakia sir, adding that students who are unable to access the digital university framework, will also get assistance regarding their user ids and passwords from the centre.
The counter of university's publication and sales unit will not only sell university's publications but also sell mementoes like coffee mugs, cups, T-shirts with university logo printed on them.
