About the Department

Statistics is included in Commerce curriculum from the inception of Faculty of Commerce 1949. As we all know Statistics is a scientific subject, it has Parent Department in Faculty of Science, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. Statistics has wide applications in all disciplines ARTS, COMMERCE and SCIENCE. It is introduced specially in Commerce stream to enable students with statistical skills in Banking, Management, Accountancy, Economics and various field of Commerce.
