About Institute

Water Resources Engineering and Management Institute (WREMI) is the youngest department of the faculty established in 1991 as a result of the USAID and Govt. of India i.e. Gujarat funded Water Resources Management and Training Project which ran from 01/04/1984 to 30/09/1992. WREMI offers undergraduate degree of B.E. (Civil-Irrigation Water Management), post graduate degrees of M.E.(Civil) in Irrigation Water Management and M.E.(Civil) in Water Resources Engineering and offers Ph.D. in Civil Engineering and Ph.D. in Irrigation Water Management. At present four research scholars are registered for Ph.D. Six research scholars have already obtained Ph.D. in Civil Engineering. The institute is recognised as a major contributor to the water resources engineering & management and watershed development & management at the national level.
