Details:

The post graduate degree programme in Extension and Communication Department which began in 1961 aims at equipping teachers, administrators, media producers and development practitioners. It has incorporated the objective of developing skills in students  for Planning development Programmes, its implementation and Evaluation. The Masters Programme offers courses in both the sub-areas namely Extension and Communication along with the core courses. Emphasis is also placed on preparation and use of communication strategies for use in formal as well as non formal educational programmes. The students are given rigorous training for Media Production, Media Appreciation, Planning Adult and Non-Formal Education programmes, Field Experience in Rural and Urban set-ups. Thus, the students are well trained in theory subjects as well as practicals which helps them to seek jobs in media organizations and development Sectors like NGO’s.

Note:

- Thalassemia screening programme is compulsory for each admitted student of the Maharaja Sayajirao University. 
- A discounted fees of Rs 150/- will be charged from the student towards the cost of sample testing at university Health Center/University Pavilion by “Red Cross Society”, India. 
- Student has to produce Thalassemia screening certificate for obtaining the final eligibility.
- Personal Aadhaar card number, Email-ID and Mobile number is must for registering the application for Admission in any of the programmes of The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.
