Details:
Interior Design is one of the fastest-growing professions in India, offering immense career opportunities and excellent prospects for aspiring professionals. With rapid urbanization, expanding real estate development, and increasing demand for aesthetically functional spaces, the field has emerged as a highly promising career choice. This programme has been introduced to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in areas such as Residential Interior Design, Commercial Interior Design, Landscape Design, Gardening, Furniture Design, Space Planning, and other specialized domains of interior design. In addition to equipping students with technical knowledge and creative skills, the programme aims to enhance employability and foster entrepreneurship, enabling graduates to establish successful careers in the dynamic design industry. The program has intake capacity of 30 seats. The admission is done on merit basis.

Subjects offered: SEMESTER I: - CONCEPTS OF INTERIOR DESIGN, INTERIOR SPACE PLANNING, TRADITIONAL INTERIOR DESIGN AND FURNISHINGS, COMPUTER AIDED DESIGNING, FURNITURE IN INTERIORS, ERGONOMICS SEMESTER II: -INDOOR AND OUTDOOR LANDSCAPING, LIGHTING IN INTERIORS, SUSTAINABLE INTERIOR DESIGN, TRAINING IN INTERIOR DESIGN, ENGINEERING SERVICES IN BUILDINGS, INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS FOR DESIGNING

Eligibility Group : 10+2+Graduate in any specialization from a recognized university
Required Qualification : Certificate (UG)

Min Percentage : 40
Min Marks : 36

Note:

- Thalassemia screening programme is compulsory for each admitted student of the Maharaja Sayajirao University. 
- A discounted fees of Rs 150/- will be charged from the student towards the cost of sample testing at university Health Center/University Pavilion by “Red Cross Society”, India. 
- Student has to produce Thalassemia screening certificate for obtaining the final eligibility.
- Personal Aadhaar card number, Email-ID and Mobile number is must for registering the application for Admission in any of the programmes of The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.
