The Department of Linguistics at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda was established in 1964. It is one of the important centres for studying language science in India and it provides students with a strong academic foundation to understand how human language works and how it shapes communication and society. The department offers both UG and PG Programmes. At the UNDERGRADUATE level the department offers Majors, Minors, Skill Enhancement Courses, and Internship (for third year Major students). It offers various application-based and advanced courses at the POSTGRADUATE level.
