A Tribute to Our Founder:

Late Shri Manibhai Kashibhai Amin, born in 1905 in Sejakuva village of Padra Taluka, was a visionary philanthropist dedicated to the cause of education. He was a global businessperson and philanthropist of stature and foresight. His rags to riches story has been inspirational to many, none more so than his immediate family. He has been instrumental in positively changing the lives of thousands during his lifetime, either through enabling them to settle abroad and pursuing studies or through his various philanthropic efforts in founding educational establishments through which thousands of students have been able to have the opportunity to better themselves.

In the year 1948, he established a school in his village Sejakuva and late in Saraswati. In the year 1963 he put vigorous efforts to put up college for higher education for the students of Padra Taluka in Padra, Gujarat where students can go on a cycle to Padra and back home in the evening. And with this vision in his mind, he convinced the Chancellor Senate members of The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda to have an affiliated College in Padra. After great efforts, M. K. Amin College of Arts and Science and College of Commerce was established in the year 1965 at the hands of the then Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Hitendra Desai and the college has been functioning till today. More than 1,300 students start their further education each year at the college.

Furthermore, in 1978, he contributed to establishing a school at Pardi, Dist. Valsad, Gujarat, and later, in 1988, founded an Industrial Training Institute at Mobha, Gujarat. He also set up the G. K. Amin Charitable Trust to support the elderly and the needy with free food, clothing, and medicines. Committed to the causes of education and healthcare, he dedicated his life to the welfare of local communities. His enduring legacy is one of integrity, hard work, and compassion a life marked by values, discipline, and service. Obstacles never deterred him, and his sheer determination and purpose-driven life remain an inspiration for others. Truly, he embodied the principle, “A fortune fairly won and wisely spent.”
