Department of painting:

In the fifty eight years of its existence, the Department of Painting has gained a reputation of being a professional department of higher education. Over the years, the alumni of this department have made a definite mark in the field of visual art and remained in the art scene of India. The department has always had the good fortune of being nurtured by a number of distinguished artists and dynamic art-educators like Prof. N. S. Bendre, Prof. K. G. Subramanyam , Prof. Jyoti Bhatt, Prof. Gulam M. Sheikh , Prof. Nasreen Mohemedi to name a few.
