The Department of Family and Community Resource Management offers a 3 years Honours Degree programme specializing in the subject Interior Design under Higher Payment Board. The programme was initiated in Academic Year 2015-2016. The curriculum was revised in 2018-2019 as per the Professional demand of the market. The B.Sc. (Honours) Interior Design program is envisioned to initiate a thoughtful and creative design process. The design process involves stages of study of Design Brief, Context, Analysis, Research, Specification, Conceptualization, Design Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The program aims at training the students in representative skills that focus on freehand drawing, technical drawing, model making and also equip them with necessary software skills. The curriculum of B.Sc. (Honours) Interior Design programme ensures a Professional and Vocational approach to provide a platform for the students to pursue their independent Professional Practice of Interior Design or undertake Professional experience with Architectural/Interior Design Firms. Professional architects and interior designers, with more than 10 years of field experience, have been associated with the programme as teaching faculties since its inception. Students are given learning exposure through live projects, site visits, workshops, market surveys and internship programme.
