About Department

Sculpture is one of three major Studio Disciplines apart from Painting and AppliedArts. It is among the top University Departments in India. For the first time in India, Degree courses were introduced by the Faculty of Fine Arts, The M. S. University of Baroda in June 1950. Pushpa Baug, the leafy green premises of the Faculty on the University Road, across Sayaji Baug with Baroda Museum &Picture Gallery, provides a pleasant and stimulating surroundings to nurture young creative individuals through rigorous studio practice, knowledge and understanding of cultural significance of various traditions.
