Center for Spoken Sankrit:
The Center for Spoken Sanskrit is established in the Department of Sanskrit, Pali & Prakrit for the propagation of Sanskrit amongst the masses. It runs certificate course in communicative Sanskrit Levels I & II, which trains the students in Spoken Sanskrit. The significant feature of this programme is that there is no age bar for seeking admission. So, we have students from school to retired personnel. The course is titled as Certificate Course in Communicative Sanskrit Level I & Level II which is a three credit course.
It was inaugurated by H. H. Governor of Gujarat, Acharya Devavrat on 14-10-2019 at C. C. Mehta auditorium. Hon. Chancellor- Rajmata Shubhangini Raje Gaekwad, Hon. Vice-Chancellor- Prof. Parimal Vyas, Shri Bhagyesh Jha, Retd. IAS Officer, Shri Dinesh kamat, Akhil Bharatiya Sanghatana Mantri, Samskrit Bharati, New Delhi, Padmashree Vishnu Pandya from Gujarat Sahitya Academy, Gandhinagar were the dignitaries present on the Dias to bless the inauguration of the center.
Since then two batches of Certificate Course in Communicative Sanskrit Level I and one batch of Certificate Course in Communicative Sanskrit Level II have successfully passed the course.
