TRAINING PROGRAM OF INTERNATIONAL EARTH SCIENCE OLYMPIAD-2026
The Training Program funded by the Ministry of Earth Sciences, New Delhi and the Geological Society of India, Bengaluru for selection of Team India for the Earth Science Olympiad-2026 to be held in Turin, Italy, from 20–27 August 2026 was organised the Department of Geology, Faculty of Science, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda from 20th May, 2026 to 11th June, 2026. The Training Program was aimed at providing three weeks intensive training by the faculty members from the Department of Geology, The M. S. University of Baroda and reputed geoscientists from premier educational institutions and research institutes of the country. The Team India won an impressive 9 medals — 4 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze - across Written & Practical, International Team Field Investigation and Earth Science Project competitions at the Earth Science Olympiad-2026 held in Turin, Italy, from 20–27 August 2026.
The selected students of Team India with Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Bhalachandra M. Bhanage, Vice Chancellor, The M. S. University of Baroda in the Valedictory Function of the Training Program in the Department of Geology.
