Central Ground Water Board (CGWB), West-Central Region, Ahmedabad conducted Training program on "Sustainable Development & Management of Ground Water Resources" at Department of Geology, Faculty of Science, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara. The program was presided over by Sh. Kartik P. Dongre, Scientist-D, CGWB, WCR, Ahmedabad. The Chief Guest of the program was Prof. Vipul A. Kalamkar, Dean, Faculty of Science, M.S. University of Baroda. Prof. D. M. Maurya, Head of Department, Department of Geology delivered the Vote of Thanks.
The Training program was attended by 77 participants, including UG/PG students, research scholars and faculty members of the Department of Geology, Faculty of Science, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara. The participants actively interacted with the resource persons during the technical sessions and gained insights into various aspects of groundwater development, management, monitoring, conservation and artificial recharge. Lectures on Basics of Hydrogeology, Monitoring of Groundwater Regime and its Quality, Hydrogeological Setup and Aquifer Management Plan of Vadodara District, and Rain Water Harvesting, Water Conservation and Artificial Recharge were delivered.
