Professor Vyas served as Acting Vice-Chancellor, and the Pro Vice-Chancellor, MSU (w. e. f. 29th December, 2014 till 11th February, 2016)

He is the First Dual Professor appointed as Professor of Management Studies [2014], Faculty of Management Studies, and also Professor of Commerce and Business Management, Faculty of Commerce at MSU, Baroda.

Professor Vyas is an Alumnus of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA).

Professor Vyas has obtained Ph.D. in Commerce from Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar & Master’s Degree in Management from MSU, Baroda.

Professor Vyas has a total teaching and research experience of more than 30 years.

Professor Parimal H Vyas is serving The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda [MSUB], continuously for the second term as Vice Chancellor from 11th February 2019, prior to that he has also served as an ‘Acting Vice Chancellor’ and ‘Pro-Vice Chancellor’ of MSUB, from December, 2014 to February, 2016 and as Vice Chancellor from Feb 2016 to Feb 2019. He has the distinction of being the very first ‘Dual/Joint Professor’ of Faculty of Management Studies, and possess more than 15 years’ of ‘Teaching, Research and Administrative Experience’ as ‘Professor’ of MSUB.

Under his able leadership, the MSUB has achieved Reaccreditation of National Assessment And Accreditation [NAAC] with ‘A’ Grade (3.16 CGPA) in 2016.Besides, the MSUB has been placed in the World Times Higher Education Ranking [THE] from 2016 to 2018 and also in QS Ranking in the year 2018.The MSUB has been adjudged as the ‘Best University’ has won 03 Awards ‘[1] Students’ Performance in NET & GSLET Examinations [2] Performance in NAAC, and [3] Research & Consultancy’ conferred by the Education Department, Government of Gujarat.

Professor Vyas, a distinguished academician, and an able academic administrator, has also been nominated several times as Chairman of NAAC Peer Team, Chairman in several Committees constituted by the University Grants Commission[UGC] ,New Delhi and a Council Member, National Board of Accreditation [NBA] , and also an Executive Council Member of State Higher Education Council of Government of Gujarat.

He has also been honoured as a Key Note Speaker, Chairman, Technical Session; Resource Person; Expert Speaker; Expert Panel Member in various International/National Level Conferences/Seminars/Workshops across the country.

Professor Parimal Vyas, an acclaimed Professor of Management, has been honoured with 11 Awards of ‘Best Research Paper’ with Publication of 130 Research Papers/Articles, 09 Reference/Text Books and Presentation of 103 Papers in International and National level Conferences/Seminars/Workshops Professor Vyas brings with him a rich blend of scholarship, professional integrity, and administrative competence. His impeccable and proven track record as an able and a visionary administrator has enabled him to excel in his leadership role.

Professor Vyas presents a rare blend of excellence in the area of higher education. In both his roles, as an academician and as an academic administrator, his focus has always been on quality, integrity, intellectual calibre, and dedication to teaching, research, and academic administration.As a Visiting Professor at reputed Universities, he has played a crucial role in drawing the attention of the West towards Indian Culture and Literature, Pedagogical Systems, Epistemological Concerns, and, of course, University Administration.

An inspiring teacher and mentor of research, Professor Parimal H Vyas has guided 17 PhD and MPhil scholars, several of the resulting contributions have received accolades and Best Paper Awards at international/national conferences. He has completed 06 Major Research Projects of UGC, New Delhi.Throughout his career, he has successfully contributed to the academic administration of the University, while maintaining a very high level of research output in terms of quality as well as quantity.

Professor Vyas is having great vision with originality of thoughts; he has successfully executed Wi-Fi project in 7 campuses scattered in 274 acres of MSUB. The MSUB has successfully implemented innovative e-Governance initiatives at MSUB viz., Online Admissions; Pre-examination & Post-Examination Appointments; Employment @ MSUB through Recruitment Portal; Human Resource Management System; Mobilization of Grants; Internet Access 24x7 in MSU Campus; Digital University (DU) Framework; MSU Examination Portal and Annual Report Management System (ARMS).

Since December 2014, considerable progress has been witnessed in the field of Education, Research and Extension. The MSUB is experiencing his Charisma with Great Communication Skills and wishes to grow and achieve higher standards in Academics, Research, Extension Governance, Leadership as well as academic Administration.
